Accounting Assistant at Next Internet in San Francisco, CA

Next Internet is seeking an experienced, confident full time Accounting professional to join our growing team. We are seeking an organized and detail oriented individual who enjoys interacting with people. The candidate should have with 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping and administrative processes and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Data entry of invoices, bills and credit card transactions
- Process accounts payable, employee reimbursements and print checks
- Process cash receipts, preparing check deposits and the application of payments to customer open invoices
- Assist in the monthly close process, account reconciliation, analysis
- Process payroll and support all payroll related functions like 401K
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- General filing
- Other Ad hoc projects as required and necessary
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in Accounting preferred
- Knowledge of basic GAAP accounting and data entry
- Demonstrated experience and proficient with QuickBooks and MS Excel and Word
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- Startup experience preferred
- Ability to juggle multiple projects
- Self-starter
- Quick learner, ability to learn new task and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
