Director of Finance and Administration at Next Internet in San Francisco, CA

Next Internet is seeking full-time, hands-on Director of Finance and Administration who will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting, financial planning & analysis, audit, HR and office administrative services for one of our growing companies in San Francisco.  The Director will will be responsible for building out the Finance and Administration function of the company.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Perform and manage all accounting and bookkeeping functions including month-end closings, bank statement reconciliation, A/R, A/P, cash flow statements and payroll

· Familiarity with providing regular financial reports for management and board presentation

· Manage Accounting and Admin team

· Maintain the relationship with our auditors and prepare documentation to conduct an audit

· Upgrade our accounting system from QuickBooks to a more enterprise solution

· Manage investment portfolio

· Manage the HR policies and procedures

· Maintain relationship with various vendors and conduct research and make recommendations

· Will be required to read contracts and have a strong understanding of the business to be able to comprehend the impact of each partnership

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

· Past experience as a Controller in a technology company required

· Minimum 5+ years of solid experience in related field

· CPA required, Big 4 experience preferred

· Audit experience is a must

· Strong organizational skills with emphasis on accuracy and process improvement

· Strong, hands-on experience using Quickbooks; knowledge of other accounting software desirable

· Excellent communication skills to articulate concepts

· Analytical ability to grasp the company’s model and establish accounting procedures and policies accordingly
