Next Internet is seeking an Online Marketing Analyst for one of our fast growing companies in San Francisco. This person will be responsible for the development and performance of customer acquisition and lead generation campaigns, including search (SEM and SEO), affiliate programs, email marketing, etc. Other tasks for this role include generation and analysis of traffic and conversion reporting, as well as product merchandising and promotion planning and execution. This is a highly visible and key role in the organization, which leads strategic cross-functional projects and interacts with all other departments. As such, this person will be exposed to a wide range of challenges, with significant financial and career development upside.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with strong analytical and organizational skills. A positive, flexible attitude and a hands-on approach to problem solving are essential. Also, he/she will have a good understanding of Internet technologies, but specific online marketing experience is not a requirement. In addition, a background in online fashion or ecommerce is preferred, but not required. Candidates from other disciplines, such as product management or business analysis, will be considered.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and optimize pay-per-click (SEM and comparison shopping) campaigns and our affiliate program
· Help manage SEO initiatives, including on-site optimizations and link building
· Work with the Creative team to develop and execute email marketing campaigns
· Work with the Buying, Creative and Stylist teams to optimize product merchandising and promotion
· Work with Product Management to develop new tools to automate processes and improve reporting, as well as to suggest and design new website features
· For Manager candidates, manage a small team of Marketing Analysts; mentor them and facilitate their career development
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a quantitative discipline
· Up to 1-2 years work experience, preferably in online marketing, product management, software engineering, or a related field
· Excellent knowledge of Excel and Internet applications
· Strong understanding of Internet technologies; experience with online marketing techniques and tools is preferred but not required
